Q: How much better do you feel about Plaxico Burress in that they did not come back and say …..?
A: Basically it is the same information that we have been working with. So I feel good about that. The real thing there is Plaxico wants to play and he wants to keep going and he wants to do whatever he can. He wants to be in the fray. And he wants to help his teammates win. So that is a very good thing. You would love to have him practice. But we are going to have a routine whereby he is going to work on the ankle. He will catch the ball and he will work with permission from the medical people a little bit on Fridays and then hopefully be ready to go on Sundays.
Q: Brandon Jacobs’ status?
A: He has just been cleared to practice, so we are just going to gradually work him in a little bit more; more conditioning work, that type of thing.
Q: Derrick Ward as well?
A: Ward was just – he is limited today and hopefully should be ready to go.
Q: Could you talk about how winning a game in the fashion that you did last week and how that could propel you momentum-wise in the ensuing weeks.
A: Well, obviously, a divisional game, on the road, goal line stand – being able to win the game in that fashion was great for our team; very exciting for our team, and hopefully built some confidence for us.
Q: You have your third divisional opponent already. You have been on both sides of this rivalry – what makes this rivalry unique from the other two?
A: Well, every one is unique. Each team that we play is unique in the historical connection between the two clubs – and this is no different. This Philadelphia rivalry goes way back; a very physical rivalry, obviously, two teams that have played a lot against each other; know each other well; and last year, for example, had three opportunities to play against each other. So, just as each team in this division is very unique, this is also.
Q: All of the talk about Donovan’s breakout game last week do you look at Brian Westbrook as almost an indispensable a part of their offense?
A: There is no question about that. He is premier playmaker. Donovan played very, very well and got the ball to the guys who could put the ball in the end zone.
Q: How about the play of Mathias Kiwanuka stepping up last week?
A: He has gotten a little better each week. He got better at linebacker. He played in the sub package down; did a good job that way as well.
Q: The Eagles obviously lead the League in sacks. They had nine last week. Talk about the concerns they present for your offensive front.
A: They are a good front four and they rush the passer very well. They do have a great blitz scheme as well. So it is pretty well documented – they throw the kitchen sink at you. You have to be ready for a lot of things.
