THE OFFCIAL REVIEW

The following is an assessment of the officating done by Wal Coleman's crew in the Giants 24-17 win over Washington.

The Head Linesman on Walt Coleman’s crew, Wayne Mackie, is a new NFL official in 2007 and the only NFL official that lives in New York City (Brooklyn).

The pick of Aaron Ross by Moss on the 1st Redskins TD could well have been called Offensive Pass Interference. It is hard to determine who initiated the contact, however.

The call on Campbell’s arm going forward was a good one. Any motion at all in a forwards direction constitutes forward motion.

Not much else to discuss today. One thing I would point out is that on Burress’ most significant drop, he was looking right back into the sun. No excuse but that might have caused him to lose the ball.
