TUCK WINS THE "GOOD GUY" AWARD
Congratulations to Giants DE Justin Tuck, the winner of this year's annual George Young Good Guy Award, as given by the Giants' chapter of the Professional Football Writers of America. The "Good Guy Award" is given annually to honor a Giants player for his consistent and outstanding cooperation with the writers who cover the team on a daily basis.
Tuck, a third-year pro, distinguished himself by being constantly available to the media, never turning down an interview request, and often spending the entire media period sitting at his locker, patiently answering questions.
The runners up to Tuck, in order, included center Shaun O'Hara, QB Eli Manning, LB Antonio Pierce, LT David Diehl and CB Sam Madison.

The Giants have placed RB Derrick Ward on the injured reserve list with a broken foot suffered in Sunday's win over Chicago. Taking his place is rookie RB Danny Ware, who was signed off the Jets' practice squad.
Ware, 6-0 and 234 pounds, was signed on April 30 by the Tennessee Titans, who waived him on June 19. Ware was signed by the Jets three days later and stayed with them until he was waived at the end of training camp. The Jets signed him to their practice squad on Sept. 3.
At the University of Georgia, Ware played in 35 games with 10 starts and rushed for 1,510 yards and eight touchdowns on 320 carries (4.7-yard avg.) He also caught 28 passes for 357 yards (12.8-yard avg.) and two scores.
Ware rushed for 1,009 yards, had 35 tackles and an interception and averaged 33.4 yards as a punter as a senior at Rockmart High School in Georgia.
The Giants also released RB Quinton Smith from the practice squad .

GIANTS OVERCOME TURNOVERS TO WIN, 21-16
